Nei suoi dipinti l’artista riporta a galla la fantasia e i sogni di bambino, un mondo colorato che, però, ad uno sguardo più attento attinge a culture ed epoche differenti, amalgamandole e rescrivendole per dare vita ad un ‘opera sottratta allo scorrere del
tempo in una dimensione “eterna”.

In her paintings, the artist brings to the surface the imagination and dreams of a child, a colorful world which, however, with a closer look, draws on different cultures and eras, amalgamating and rewriting them to give life to a work removed from the passage of time, in an “eternal” dimension.
Biografia
Nasce ad Hannover, in Germania, il 3 novembre 1964. Inizia ad esporre giovanissima nella sua città natale in diverse collettive e, nel 1985, organizza la sua prima personale presso la Galerie am Bahnhof, sempre ad Hannover.
A ventidue anni lascia la terra natia per trasferirsi ad Urbino, dove termina gli studi artistici alla sezione ceramica dell’Accademia Raffaello con il professor Paolo Sgarzini. Nel 1990 incontra lo stilista Piero Guidi, per il quale inventa il disegno della serie “Magic Circus”. Durante il soggiorno italiano non mancano però le occasioni espositive anche all’estero mentre si susseguono, a ritmo incalzante, gli appuntamenti artistici italiani tra i quali nel 1991 alla Galleria Comunale dell’Immagine di Rimini. Dal 1994 l’artista amplia la sua ricerca linguistica non più solo dedicata alla pittura; sperimenta differenti mezzi e forme espressive e interviene anche con installazioni realizzate con i materiali più inconsueti. Ha quindi inizio una serie di esposizioni in Italia e all’estero che accrescono, col passare degli anni, il bagaglio culturale dell’artista e la sua considerazione da parte della critica. Stabile rimane il rapporto con la Germania, suo paese di origine, dove l’artista viene sempre più spesso invitata ad esporre in musei ed enti pubblici come il Museo Duingen nel 2003 e nel 2004 presso il Tribunale di Colonia in occasione di “Strömungen”, una collettiva di pittrici organizzata dalla Fédération Internationale Culturelle Féminine. Una lunga serie di esposizioni la vede ultimamente protagonista di performance ed eventi tra Francia, Olanda, Germania e l’Italia, dove ormai da tempo si è definitivamente stabilita.
Biography
She was born in Hannover, Germany, on November 3, 1964. She began exhibiting at a very young age in her hometown in various group exhibitions and, in 1985, she organized her first solo exhibition at the Galerie am Bahnhof, also in Hannover.
At the age of twenty-two she left her native land to move to Urbino, where she finished her artistic studies in the ceramic section of the Raffaello Academy with Professor Paolo Sgarzini. In 1990 she met the designer Piero Guidi, for whom she invented the design of the “Magic Circus” series. During her stay in Italy, however, there was no shortage of exhibition opportunities also abroad, while the Italian artistic appointments followed one another at a rapid pace,
including in 1991 at the Galleria Comunale dell’Immagine in Rimini. Since 1994 the artist has expanded her linguistic research no longer dedicated only to painting; she experiments with different means and forms of expression and also intervenes with installations made with the most unusual materials. Thus began a series of exhibitions in Italy and abroad which, over the years, increased the artist’s cultural baggage and her consideration by critics. The relationship with Germany, her country of origin, remains stable, where the
artist is increasingly invited to exhibit in museums and public places such as the Duingen Museum in 2003 and in 2004 at the Court of Cologne on the occasion of “Strömungen”, a collective of women painters organized by the Fédération Internationale Culturelle Féminine. A long series of exhibitions has recently seen her as the protagonist of performances and events in France, Holland, Germany and Italy, where she has definitively settled for some time now.
